This disc hour hand is designed for UK users (picture above), it will replace needle hour hand.
After placed a AA battery in Global Clock, first you adjust big black arrow marked with “UK” on disc hour hand and minute hand at UK time. For example, UK time now is 10.20am, you adjust the black arrow marked with “UK” and minute hand at 10.20am as picture (above) shows. At the same time, you also know time in 10 foreign cities (in 10 geography time zones). Cities’ names are green, which tell you time in these cities will be counted clockwise (see a green arrow A on the disc), time goes ahead from UK time. So, UK time is 10.20am, time goes ahead toward afternoon and evening, time in E.E.C (Europe) is 11.20am. Time in South Africa is 12.20pm. Moscow is 1.20pm. Delhi nearly 4pm. Hongkong is 6.20pm. Tokyo is 7.20pm. Sydney is 8.20pm. Cities’ names are red, which tell you time in these cities go back (anti-clockwise) from UK time (see a red arrow B on the disc). So, time in UK is 10.20am, time goes back to early morning, time in New York is 5.20am. Chicago is 4.20am. Los Angeles is 2.20am. As UK time goes, the disc hour hand turns clockwise, the clock will tell you time in 10 other time zones at once. Global Clock displays cities' time not only in hours, but also minutes, even seconds. (as Delhi uses half time zone, for Delhi only display time hourly. But very few countries use half time zone). This clock also display am or pm.
Cities' names appeared on Global Clock represent different world time zones. For example, HongKong represents a time zone which included Beijing, Shanghai and other mainland China cities. If your city's name is not printed on Global Clock, and you can find a city's name on Global Clock which is at same time zone as yours, you can use the name. Check international time zone map below to find out: For a larger picture of this map click here, or search on Google for other world time maps.
